Event Description
♦ Last year - We started our first Midsummer Island Party out on an island in Langedrag with its very own rented island party filled with extravent DJs, food, and an eclectic dance floor. However, this year we have a much bigger venue rented out on Styrso Island which is very easy to get to from central Gothenburg! Much more magical and much more summer infused with diversity in different activities and club adventures!♦ What is Midsummer you say? Midsummer is the period of time centered upon the summer solstice, and more specifically the Northern European celebrations that accompany the actual solstice that originally take place on a beautiful day in June! Swedish Midsummers Eve has become one of the most popular party evenings and national days in Sweden as it is known and thought to be one of the times of the year when magic was the strongest!
♦ Traditionally, young people pick bouquets of seven or nine different flowers and put them under their pillow in the hope of dreaming about their future spouse. In the past it was believed that herbs picked at Midsummer were highly potent, and water from springs could bring good health. Greenery placed over houses and barns were supposed to bring good fortune and health to people!
♦ We want to provide the Ultimate Midssummers Eve Island Party full of magic and full of bright international fun! Want to know what will be provided and activities?

♦ Food and alcohol are provided on a closed society basis / However cheap costs are provided. It is recommended you bring your own dish of your choice as this is an international event and diversity of food is a must! Alcohol would also be a good choice to bring as this is Swedish midsummer!

♦ Directions to Styrso / Take tram 11 from Central Gothenburg from Brunnsparken / Central Station / Jarntorget to Salthomen and hop on the ferry directed to Stryo Island. 30 minutes from Salthomen it takes to arrive to Styso Island and a volunteer will direct you to the festivities!
